Q: Who inspired you and why?
One of my greatest inspirations is Dolly Parton. Throughout her 50+ year career she has always stayed true to herself, her beliefs, her style, and where she came from. Most importantly, she has used her success to give back to endless foundations and charities, specifically her Imagination Library, which donates over one million books a month to children under the age of five across the globe.
Q: How do you balance your professional career and getting ready to compete for Mrs. Global Continental in Las Vegas this year?
I put 100% of my passion and focus into everything I do. What has worked for me during competition season is treating my professional life and pageant life as two different careers. When I am at work, I focus solely on my deadlines, projects, and career goals. Then, I switch gears entirely to pageant prep- walking practice, interview prep, working out, etc. This helps me stay completely focused on my specific goals for both walks of life.

Q: As a female leader, what has been the most significant barrier in your career and how did you overcome that?
I don’t believe in barriers. They only exist if you allow them to. Anything is scalable, attainable, and reachable if you put your mind to it.

Q: What fuels your drive?
The poet Rupi Kaur said “You have only scratched the surface of what you’re capable of. There are decades of victories ahead of you”. Both small and large victories are what fuels my drive. They can be tiny victories, such as reaching a milestone on a project at work, or crushing a hard workout. Or, they can be large victories such as winning a pageant. The large victories are wonderful, but the small ones are just as sweet.

Be approachable, lead by example, and always stay true to yourself.

Q: What are the lessons you've gained that have profoundly shifted your professional path?
It is okay to ask questions. That is how you grow in your career and gain knowledge of your industry. It’s also okay to express your ideas and creativity even if it means recreating the wheel entirely.

Q: Apple or Samsung why?
Apple. A majority of my family and friends have apple devices and I like to FaceTime my sweet little nephew when I can’t see him in person. It makes my day.

Q: What do you do for fun?
I love to travel with my husband Corey, especially to the beach. I feel my most calm when I am near the ocean. I enjoy trying out new restaurants in downtown Roswell, working out at Burn Boot Camp, and spending time with my family.
Q: What legacy do you want to leave behind?
That I was kind to everyone I encountered and shined a little light wherever I went.

I am thrilled to be competing in the national Mrs. Global Continental Pageant this summer, representing the great state of Georgia.
