Atlanta Spinal Correction, LLC and Disc Centers of America - Alpharetta provides non-surgical spinal decompression and specializes in peripheral neuropathy treatment that is drugless. These are our two main focus areas to better serve our patients—which allows my patients to triumph over pain due to herniated and budging discs and regain a better quality of life.
We offer hyperbaric oxygen chamber and laser therapies, which are used to complement spinal decompression therapy and traditional spinal adjustments. Laser therapy has been very popular within my field and natural healing realm. Our advantage is that we’ve been doing this approach for 20 years before it was cool.

What inspired you to start your own business? I am often asked … How does your practice differ from traditional chiropractors? The simple answer is… I balance the art and science of medicine. Typically, chiropractic universities don’t focus teachings about discs and full body anatomy. I have taken extensive post-graduate courses in spinal decompression, disc disorders and continue to teach learnings at seminars.
My team and I are dedicated to diagnosing the disease progression from MRI and other types of imaging studies, bloodwork results and collaboration with their doctors. I don’t just put bandages on symptoms; instead, I focus on the anatomy to determine the root cause of the pain and bring an overall healing approach to encourage our patients’ ability to repair themselves.

As a business owner and faced with a sudden calamity, what new revelations did you discover and will likely implement to catastrophic proof your business? You can do one of two things—you can focus on your vision and determine you want to achieve or be fearful. I choose not to be fearful while adjusting to this “new normal”. In situations like this, it is a time to get vision clarity and practice mindfulness to truly discover what is important to you and how you can serve the world. This time has allowed me to work on business strategies I wasn’t able to previously give time to do, such as branding and expanding our social media strategy.
Social media, especially videos, have been very important for me to connect with my patients and ideal clients. I’m able to share patient success stories and demonstrate how people can maintain a healthy lifestyle—and for example, I am sharing at-home stretching techniques and healing success stories. While it’s virtual, I am able to engage home-bound people at a 1:1 level.

Are there new products or new service offerings as the result of the shift? If so, what are they and what solutions do they offer? My practice needs to sustain and become as efficient and effective as possible. As our appointments decreased, we’ve become more organized, invested in new innovative medical equipment and implemented new front office software. The downtime allowed me to conduct more and new clinical research so that I can serve people now and even better when our current situation begins to clear up.
