To open up a whole new approach for you to use your Christian beliefs to engage with your friends, relatives and yes strangers, hence making your world growing, contented and full of joy. To teach an approach to communicate love, respect and honor to everyone in your circle and those on the edges of our community and to the world. Why not! I started with the idea of just communicating love, respect and honor to everyone. I have traveled extensively globally during my thirty-year career. One day after retiring, it occurred to me that I never talk about God or religion to anyone-anywhere. I can talk to people at my place of worship with no problems, but I rarely speak of my faith elsewhere. I wondered why. The purpose of this book is to engage quickly and spread the ideas of love and Jesus. If a new conversion experience happens, there is a path to maturity, growth, and a newfound faith in God. A complete and thorough approach of introducing someone to Jesus and a Christian lifestyle. Then mentoring them to a life long Christian journey.
Q: Hi Albert, welcome to CityBox! What exciting projects are you working on? My book From Tree to Tree. The introduction of someone to God, then a road map for their lifelong journey.
Q: What inspired you to author your book? The desire to help people fulfill their destiny. Understand that no matter where they are in life to make that tiny step or giant leap closer to completing their destiny. For a Christian to be confident in living their faith. Seems we need an easy conversational way to communicate our religious beliefs. One that is inviting a stranger or someone we do not know very well. Be open and accepting wherever someone is on their life journey.

Q: What are you trying to accomplish with this book? Increase love in this world.
Q: What challenges and benefits have you experienced when writing a book? So far, the benefit is meeting many new friends. Surprised at how many people want to express their life journey’s pluses and minuses. Developing a community of friends with a common world view.
Q: What motivated your shift from a career in the oil and tech industry to becoming an author focusing on spirituality and building a relationship with God? I’m retired from OIL AND GAS. The more I sat around thinking what am I going to do the next 70 years I thought ‘nothing like having many friends.’ I wanted something to make me think and help people where they were in life.

Q: How do you believe your experience in the corporate world has influenced or shaped your perspective on spiritual growth and connecting with God? In business, being complete and thorough is important, but you have to add trust to be successful I believe. My book is thorough, complete.

Q: Can you share a personal experience or pivotal moment that ignited your journey toward exploring and deepening your relationship with God? I was in a laundromat one day. A lady was using about 6 machines for her laundry and about 3 for drying. I walked up and gave her the money for one load. She was so excited, reacted like she just won the lottery. I said, ‘wish I had more to give you’ to which she said, ‘It doesn’t matter how much you give it’s what in your heart that counts.’ Hence, I started my book shortly thereafter.

Q: Who are your mentors that impacted your professional/personal journey? Actually, the 15 second approach to telling someone about who I am and journey with Jesus came from Johnny Carson and David Letterman. They made their guest feel comfortable and involved with short questions about them. Very seldom including their own background and experience. Plus, if they did, they kept it short. The more you can get someone to talk about themselves the more interested they become in talking to you. Which I believe is the first building block for a lifelong friendship.
Q: What was the game changer for you that catapulted your leadership? It’s not about me. People don’t really want to know anything about me to begin with. But when I show a genuine interest in them, a common bridge is developed. Trust is a beginning when you reveal a little about yourself and they do the same. Small building blocks that eventually make for a sound safe environment for friendship.

Q: What do you do for self-care and to relax? I prefer about three days a week of walking and three days at the gym. And hour a day reading studying the Bible or listening to a TV preacher I trust.
Q: What's been a game changer for you and your business? Meeting Maryan Aiken with CityBox Media and Marie Diaz with the CEO Club. The push, that little nudge to get started then keep the ball rolling. Sometimes uphill! The exposure they gave me.
