For many years, I was involved with numerous local, national, and international educational organizations. During that time, I traveled the world sharing my research and findings to help improve the lives of children with disabilities.

Christi Fain: Having the opportunities to work with and help empower people who are different and less fortunate than me, helped me develop a deep appreciation for the struggles many people go through in life. I gained great insights, and learned how I can make a direct impact by giving back. After almost two decades in education, I realized that no matter what I am doing it is important to act with a servant’s heart, and that helping others is what truly provides the most satisfaction to me.

As a native and Realtor of Atlanta, I want to make sure I provide excellent service to the members of my community when they buy and sell their homes. In addition to serving my clients’ needs, I am dedicated to giving back to my community through various charities and causes. One close and dear to my heart is the non-profit charity, Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. As a Heartworm Case Manager, I am dedicated to giving back to my local community to help save dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in Georgia. Jordan Swahn: I am heavily involved with the Dunwoody Community Garden and Orchard. Every year more than 3,000 lbs of food is given to those in need. I am also passionate about affordable housing because I believe everyone deserves a place to call home and to have food in their pantry. I am in partnership with the Atlanta Realtors Association & committed to fair and equal housing to help home buyers from all different walks of life. In addition, I am also heavily involved with the arts including Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, The Alliance Theater, and various other local art and theater venues around Atlanta. I have a deep appreciation for the arts because of the impact it has made in my life, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to support them.

Lacee Lockridge: Giving back means to me, taking an experience, advice, generosity, time that was freely given to me and giving it back. I feel that so often we can give back in such small ways throughout our day that may be so impactful to someone else. I think as women we are often under so much pressure, from ourselves and other people. I try to be compassionate and relatable to the women I meet during my days. We are all fighting an unknown battle. It takes very little time to say that compliment out loud that I am thinking in my head. It’s free to open up and share my experience or become relatable to provide hope. It is very easy to ask if there is anything you can do for someone. Giving back to me comes in many forms, but ultimately for myself, it comes through being available to the people around me, and open to an idea greater than myself.
