Q: How did you start influencing and what brand was your favorite to collaborate with and why?
A year ago, I discovered blogging. I had an average account used only to share memories, until I came across an influencer’s account named: Bre Sheppard. I fell in love with her style, life, enthusiasm, and more. I thought all of her tips were very useful, and I became addicted. I would talk about her to my family and boyfriend, wishing I were her. I then discovered her blogging friends and fell in love all over again. I remembered I used to take modeling pictures for a clothing store in Covington, Georgia. I loved taking pictures in clothes, but I knew I couldn’t pursue modeling as a career with the income I make. So, blogging was the next best thing. It opened many doors for me, like my new job, brand collaborations, and friends.
My favorite brand collaboration was with Winc. It is a wine subscription to have wine delivered to your door. I wanted this campaign to have a certain vibe of serenity and bliss. I found an empty grass field with golden grass tips and knew it would be perfect. My aesthetic dream became a reality.

Q: As glamorous as being an Instagram influencer looks, what are the biggest struggles you’ve found with this line of work?
The biggest struggles I face are time management. With being a full-time student, having a part-time job, and being an Instagram influencer, time management can cause many issues. My boyfriend, who is my photographer, is a full-time student and has a full-time job. I have to check his availability to align our schedules for a shoot day. I have tried to balance everything, but I stress out a lot for trying to grow too fast.

Q: Do you enjoy working more with fashion/jewelry brands, health and beauty brands, or food brands?
I enjoy working with fashion brands. I have always loved clothes, and I have a severe shopping problem. I love clothes and being able to mix and match pieces to create new outfits.
Q: Is there a lot of research involved when it comes to finding a location to shoot at?
I occasionally research locations before shooting content during holidays or seasons during the year. For example, during the fall period, I look for pumpkin patches, corn mazes, etc. However, for everyday content, I use locations that my boyfriend and I venture to for the day.

Q: With the pandemic, have you found it more difficult to find brands to collaborate with? Are you working more or less?
During the pandemic, brands have reached out to my account at the same pace as before COVID-19. It is still possible to create content for brands; you have to be a little more creative now. I am working more since I started my new job because it is at an outdoor shopping mall. However, before my new job, my previous job was closed due to COVID.

Q: Besides your Instagram blog, do you have your business? What is it that you sell?
I do not have my own business, but I work on a marketing team for a shopping outlet called Halcyon.
Q: Where do you find your inspiration?
I find a lot of my inspiration bounces off of other bloggers and ideas I see on the internet. I research on Pinterest for aesthetically pleasing content, or I look up to the bloggers I idolize for inspiration.

Q: Who are your top three favorite fashion bloggers and why?
My top three fashion bloggers are Bre Sheppard, Kathleen Post, and Anna Page. All three of their pages vary in style, but they are all incredible in the way they conduct themselves, engage with followers, and express their take on life.

Q: How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as trendy and affordable. As a college student, I had to develop a budget plan to carry out my creative content. It can also be hard as a follower to see severely expensive clothes you cannot afford because bloggers can make a lot of money from content creation. I like to showcase affordable styles that everyone can purchase to express their inner artistic style.
Q: What was the best way or you to gain your following and how do you keep them engaged with your content?
The best way to gain a following and expand my brand awareness is through giveaways. The main issue I have faced is many people do not know I exist. Therefore, giveaways bring a new audience to my page, and they stay because I spend hours taking pictures to have great content and picture quality.
